SYSTEM VI

• Representing Century’s sixth generation of Logging Equipment, SYSTEM VI, is conceptually a peripheral device to the users' Desktop or Laptop computer. All logging specific hardware/electronics are packaged into a single small box and connected to the users' computer with a standard Ethernet cable connection.
• Utilizing dual Digital Signal Processors (DSP) combined with Multitone Quadrature modulation, the data transfer rate, between tool and surface, is substantially faster and more reliable than any prior system.  For example, the high resolution acoustic televiewer (256 samples @ 0.005 meter vertical resolution) can now be collected at logging speeds of 4 meters per minute, without loss of resolution.  This performance is more than twice of that of any other commercially available logging system.
• The increased computational capacity provided by the DSP’s has allowed the use of real-time signal conditioning in the frequency domain as well as the implementation of sophisticated error detection and correction algorithms.
• System VI automatically identifies the connected logging tool and adjusts both power and telemetry as required. Self contained diagnostic programs and the use of an optional tool simulator module/software allow for complete system operational verification and concise trouble location.
• Field support for this system is implemented with a fixed cost exchange program, with units available for same day air shipment.
• The System VI comes equipped with all software and hardware necessary to log, edit, process, print or interpret with the complete list of Century tools. No additional cost is required to add logging tools except the cost of the tool.
• The Display software provided prints log data via any Windows compatible color or monochrome printer.
• The System VI is provided with on-line HELP which includes instructions on the operation of the Collect and Display programs. Additionally, the extensive help program includes specifications and user guides on all of Century's logging tools and equipment.
